Die Schumann Resonanz – der Herzschlag der Erde
The Schumann resonance is referred to as the „heartbeat of the earth“ and is appearing more and more often with so-called healing or crystal mats. But what is the Schumann resonance anyway?
The Schumann resonance is named after the German physicist and electrical engineer Winfried Otto Schumann . Schumann (born on May 20, 1888 in Tübingen; died on September 22, 1974 in Munich) discovered the phenomenon that electromagnetic waves of certain frequencies form standing waves along the circumference of the earth. The sufficiently conductive earth’s surface (mostly salt water) and the highly conductive ionosphere above it delimit a spherical shell-shaped cavity resonator, from whose dimensions possible resonance frequencies can be calculated. These can be excited by lightning, but are of such low amplitude that they can only be detected with very sensitive instruments. The fundamental Schumann frequency is 7.83 Hertz,
Do the Schumann resonances have a healing effect?
The Schumann resonances are said to have a healing effect, especially in esotericism. There is a wide range of music available that addresses these low-frequency resonance lines. The music is supposed to stimulate the body to vibrate so that it becomes in harmony with nature. Something similar has recently been claimed about various healing mats, which are said to have a wide range of healing crystals in addition to the Schumann resonance.
Schumann resonance and magnetic field therapy
„Magnetic energy is the elementary energy on which the entire life of the organism depends,“ recognized the German Nobel Prize winner Werner Heisenberg. The German biophysicist Wolfgang Ludwig determined that there are serious natural differences in the local, regional magnetic field strength. What’s more, they are increasing due to artificial, civilizing interventions and measures that reduce them to a level that is actually harmful – because weakening. Examples of this are: the widespread, closed concrete construction, the increasing bonding and surface sealing, and the artificial electric fields of modern electrical and communications technology.
Dr. med. Oskar Gleichmann, a former assistant to the famous Professor Sauerbruch, developed the forerunner of today’s magnetic field therapy devices in the early 1960s. He generated a large, pulsating magnetic field to therapeutically influence the human organism. Over time, the development of magnetic field therapy devices has progressed ever further. Today we know that a pulsating magnetic field achieves significantly better healing results than a static magnetic field. It has also been recognized that the human body responds positively to frequencies between 2 and 80 Hertz. Experiments with cancerous plants have shown that treatment with a high-frequency magnetic field heals cancerous growths. One explanation for this is that magnetic field therapy activates impaired cellular respiration and regulates cellular metabolism to a healthy level. In humans, magnetic field therapy (or magnetic resonance therapy) promises relief and healing, particularly for chronic complaints and illnesses. One reason for this is the stimulation of microcirculation . Studies under the scanning electron microscope have shown that regular use of magnetic field therapy significantly reduces the clumping (medically known as “thrombosis”) of blood platelets (erythrocytes) in the veins after just four weeks.
What is important in magnetic field therapy
In order to achieve health success when using magnetic field therapy, three things are particularly important:
- The magnetic field therapy device (mat, pillow, ring coil, etc.) must have a strong magnetic field. Only then can it penetrate the body properly and achieve its healing effect. Modern mats, for example, achieve an electrical flux density of around 2,000 microtesla. For comparison: the earth’s magnetic field has a strength of 50 microtesla.
- The magnetic field therapy device must respond to different frequencies in the range of 2 to 80 Hertz. This is because the cartilage cells in an arthritic knee vibrate differently than muscle cells in the shoulder. Here it is important that a pulsating magnetic field is generated rather than a static one.
- Only consistent use of magnetic field therapy over a longer period of time will bring the desired results. As a rule, two applications of between 15 and 30 minutes per day are sufficient. However, just to get the microcirculation going again, a four-week therapy is necessary. In the case of bone fractures, rheumatism, and arthrosis, a significantly longer therapy is required.
Important: Magnetic field therapy can also be used as a preventative measure! There are no known side effects. However, people with pacemakers, pregnant women and people who are prone to epileptic seizures should avoid magnetic field therapy.
Pay attention to technical data before buying!
Before buying a promising mat, you should definitely ask to see the technical specifications of the device. What frequencies can it generate? What magnetic field strength does it offer?
Schumann-Resonanz – Was steckt wirklich dahinter?
